Tracer GasLeak Detection
When water testing fails or systems cannot be pressurized, tracer gas detection finds what other methods miss. Safe, inert gases reveal even the smallest leaks in roofs, membranes, and buried pipes.
Tracer Gas Options
Best for:
- Underground pipes
- Heating systems
- Pool plumbing
- Irrigation systems
Best for:
- Waterproof membranes
- Building envelopes
- Refrigeration systems
- Critical seals
How Tracer Gas Detection Works
System Preparation
The system is isolated and drained if necessary. Access points are identified for gas introduction and the area is prepared for detection.
Gas Introduction
Safe tracer gas is introduced into the system or beneath the membrane at low pressure. The gas fills the void and begins escaping at leak points.
Detection Survey
Highly sensitive detectors scan the surface above, measuring gas concentrations. Peak readings indicate leak locations.
Marking & Documentation
Leak locations are precisely marked on the surface and documented with photographs and measurements for repair guidance.
